Yesterday afternoon I suddenly realised I had not drunk any coffee's the whole day when I would normally have one in the morning either first up or for morning tea then one in the afternoon and maybe even a 3rd in there somwhere. Today is looking good too- no coffee and its 10:00am.

I suddenly realised I dont want to drink coffee- did not force myself to stop, I just stopped. Am hoping the cravings dont come back- maybe thats why I had such a bad headache last night, cafine withdrawls.

Anyway, am feeling good- drinking SOOOOO much water and eating really well. I think I might actually lose weight this week :)

Hands up if you inhale your food? Wolf it down so quick anyone would think you haven't eaten for days. I know I do, always have! Thats my major setback and the reason my portion size can be out of control, I'm a piggy! 
My husband always says to me "for goodness sakes Kell no one's going to come and take it away you know!"
You see I like my food to be hot, not luke warm, not cold....hot! Unless that is of course i am eating a salad then obviously I would prefer the temperature slightly cooler! I am also very busy, well this is my excuse and I am sticking to it. However thats all it is I guess, an excuse.
I find I eat more because I eat so fast then half an hour later I am sitting on the couch wishing I had slowed down or not eaten so much or better still all of the above!
So how does one eat slower when your brain has been programmed for so many years to eat at the speed of light? The old adage of eat the food on your fork then put your fork down and chew your food properly? I could give it a try but surely that would take me forever and the washing up needs doing, the babies need bathing, reading to and then put to bed, etc, etc. 
Every day before every meal I tell myself I will eat this meal nice and slow and savour it, then, before you know it...wham, my plate's empty. What a piggy! 
Oh well, I guess I keep trying. I could always find a giant stick and give it to my husband so every time he see's me wolfing my food down he gives a swift sharp prod in the side, that ought to do the trick! K x

Want to have sushi tomorrow for lunch but as i will be working tomorrow for my neighbours at their factory i wont be able to make it fresh at the time.

So, is it ok to make it in the morning and keep it cool until lunch time? I hope so

Was looking through the pantry earlier looking for a snack- was feeling peckish. I came across a packet of corn thins which i brought ages ago and never opened (have a habbit of that). So i had one of these corn thins without anything on it and it was surprisingly nice! So i decided to have some for lunch with a few bits on top.

Lunch I had 3 corn thins with a salsa made with avocado, tomato, onion, corn and salmon drissled with some rosmary infused olive oil- it was such a nice lunch and a healthy one to!

So if your looking for something new to have as a snack- these are great (only 22 caleries), depends though what you put on top but avocado would be great.

Just thought i would share my new found snack incase some of you are needing something healthy.

I brought a couple of V8 juices for Eric as he is not eating much due to his sore throat but he did not want it so I tried one and they are really nice!

The one i had was Apple, carrot and ginger, the nutritional info states it 98cal for the 250mil, 100% daily recomended vitamin C intake no added sugar (has 21.3g sugar so must all be natural sugar) and equals one serve or fruit and one serve of veggies.

So I think its not a bad snack, it just satisfied my afternoon craving. Has anyone else tried this? What do others think of it.

A while ago there was a discussion about the gogi berry and how good it is for you, at the time i thought i would try it if i ever get the oportunity.

Well last night i was over at my neighbours house and there was a packet of dried gogi berries on the table so i tried one- YUCK! I have never tasted anything so grose lol.

My sister was talking about them this morning and said she soaks them in water for the day then drinks the water at the end of the day, said it still tastes yuck but better than a handfull of berries.

At the shops today I found a packet and thought i would add some to my smoothy each morning seeing as they are so good for us.

Will let you know if i notice any changes- i guess these things you dont notice though, it will happen over time.
