Hi Nic i was interested in getting that book for a read ....but wasnt sure if it was all hype.....it sounded like it might make sense of the reasons why we gain weight so when you have finished reading could you please give a comment on it ....so we know if it's worth the read thanks ....hope you and bub are both keeping well cheers

Last December 18th. I wrote on a blog....
"Last night I read an interesting article to help with weight loss.
Find a photo of yourself, or of someone, how you would like to look.
Every day, night, morning or whenever you can, bring this picture into your mind.
After working on this for less than 24 hours I received the most amazing compliment!
Everything the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve". end of message.
That idea came from the book you are talking about!'The Gabriel Method".
I was so impressed, kept looking at the photo....then another book came along.....and I never got around to playing the CD ;-(
Thank you for reminding me of this very valuable tool to help us on our journey, I will read the book again, and play the CD.
I actually bought a new system at the time,just to hear the CD, as my old one stopped working,I still haven't used it!

Nick, Iagree the cd is great to go to bed to. I WAS listening to it every night for a while then moved the stereo out of the room and since then I have not been sticking with ANY kind of plan or routine.
GAIL LISTEN TO THE CD!! OK?
It is really quite soothing, the music in the background is gentle and quite meditative. I only got about half way thru the book, but the cd is GREAT!
Thanks Nick for reminding me about it! I am moving the stereo back to my bedroom tonight... actually, I just did it, so I am ready for tonight.

Hi Lou,
The book has been fantastic, I have a more positive attitude and understand why I am overweight. SOme of it did cover things I already knew but then it did cover areas i did not know- it did get very technical but was written in a way i could understand. The CD i have listened to every night and really believe it is making a positive impact on my life, i am more relaxed and am coping better.
In saying all that, the book is one of those things that may not befor everyone, i could see some people throwing it away complaining that its useless- not the case for me.

Hi Annonomys,
The book is not a diet plan at all, it just explains in detail why people are overweight, why our bodies work the way they do. IT does not tell you to eat anything in particular or not eat anything. It has helped me curve my thoughts to a more positive state which in turn has helped me stick to the betalife way of eating smaller portions, eat more live foods, drink more water ect ect.

I did the program when it cost money but looks like its all free here now. It really cahnged the way I thought about everything. Anyway, just thought I would say that. Good luck.

Hi Gail, The CD is fantastic, I cant seem to stay awake long enough to hear the end of it which is strange as I dont usually fall asleep within the first half hour of going to sleep. This morning I knew what I needed to do, I was well rested so have the energy to get stuck into my day. Its a great way to end the day so I highly recommend listening to it

I have this book too and was half way through reading it but that was some time ago so I think I will have to start from the beginning again. I have not been game enough to listen to the CD as yet.
