I'm really pleased to hear you girls are doing ok. It does sound pretty bad up there at the moment, all you Queensland girls are in my thoughts. Take care.

Have we heard from KB this week? She lives out towards Ipswich (cant remember the suburb) so hope her family is doing fine.

My house is fine but I can't say the same for my patio roof. It flew off with the wind.
Thank goodness it was seperate to the house roof or else this could be a different story altogether.
We are safe and well and that is more than a lot of people so we are doing well I think. The worst damage seemed to be on the other side of town.
The news are maily talking about The Gap area, and yes it has been hit hard .. twice now .. first on Sunday and then again last night we had extremely heavy downfalls of rain. Everywhere I drove today was wet, a lot of water lapping the roads edge in places. The river is a disgusting colour and the boats are sitting amoung a lot of debis.
Ipswich is completely closed .. last I heard you can't get in or out as the roads are flooded and bad.
Brisbane city is not much better as the inner city bypass is flooded and they expect it will be closed for the next 3 days or at least that is what the signs were flashing.
Tamborine, Redcliffe and Morayfield copped a pounding too apparently. I have been wondering how Faye and Chris are doing and if it has done any damage to their houses. I hope they are both alright.

We are fine too. A couple of streets back lost all power. My friends in the gap got flooded, and another lost their ceiling off their lounge room area....at work, there were heaps of branches broken off everywhere...but we are fine..

Hi Ren, Thanks for your concern. Thankfully my place is fine, plenty of leaves and sticks scattered around the yard again this morning (only got the yard cleaned up yesterday from sundays storm)
The wind and rain woke Eric last night which is unusual- he never wakes from a storm but it was so load! made it hard for me to get back to sleep
