The Hungry Jacks Quad Burger

You may have already heard about the Hungry Jacks burger called the ‘Quad Stack’ that has recently been introduced. It contains four beef patties, four slices of cheese, two rashers of bacon and barbecue sauce on a bun.

It tired to put in into perspective. If someone went for dinner, they could quite possibly be given a bread roll, have a four cheese risotto for their entrée, then have a 250g steak for dinner accompanied by chips. Throw a couple of rashes of bacon on the steak and you would have the equivalent of the Quad Stack.

But then you see this picture:

Not exactly appealing, is it?

I don’t know what the deal is, but it just doesn’t look right. Here is an idea of the nutritional contents:

71g fat
34.7g saturated fat
1930 milligrams of sodium
74.8g protein
1g Dietary Fiber
1080 Calories

I was going to try one out for you, just so I could experience it, but I thought better of it when I started hearing comments of those who had tried it. One reader comment from news.com.au said “im still buzzing an hour and a half after eating it, and its still stuck halfway.”

Nutritionists are outraged, and rightly so, and they are also complaining at the lack of salad on the burger. But to tell you the truth, I can't see a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato making that much difference.

I've decided I will stick to a tuna salad for lunch.

I don't like hungry jacks so I can avoid this rather easily. Not that I'd eat it anyway, it made me sick just watching them talk about it on TT and comparing the different burgers.

It's quite a blessing that I don't like HJ, KFC or McD's. I don't mind praties (hot potatoes) or pizza once in a while, but I think its more fun and creative making pizzas at home, especially with those turkish bread rolls cut in half you can make all different sorts.

that scares me.... who would want to eat that much meat to start with?? and that much cheese?? some fast food places never learn

That is all that they talked about last night on the news and current affair programs. My DH was quite disgusted with it.

OMG, why would you want to eat something like that when you can have something that looks and tastes more appealing and is a 5th of the calories. Even a salad sandwich would be better for you if you must have the bread.
No for me that's for sure.

I think I will give it a miss.

i got food poisoning from them 2 years ago and since i went to hospital with it.....i have NEVER eaten it since, not one bite. So the idea of this revolts me...so so gross!

Have been looking more at how many caleries are in the foods i used to eat often and still have every now and again. I have a better understanding of caleries now and was shocked! My favourite treat is a twister at KFC, this has over 600caleries! Thats without the chips and gravy i often have along side. I have been shocked enough now to know not to eat these foods, i did not fine one single item that i am game enough to eat again. The more i read about food the more i hate it, give me a good salad any day
